The baby house/Boitumelo community center

Boitumelo Community Home Centre situated in Shoshanguve, Gauteng, was started by Sophy Msiza to help underprivileged children. Sophy currently has 32 children who stay in her home, mostly orphans, children from the street and children removed from their parents by social workers. Sophy doesn’t receive money for most of the children currently staying with her. Her aim is to give these children the best education to improve their future to be better than their past.

We have adopted two children from this orphanage and our intention is to mentor, develop and educate these youngsters from primary school level until they graduate at a higher learning institution.

We’ve also purchased school uniforms for the children who are looked after by this orphanage.

Paradise Bend School

Paradise Bend School is situated in Diepsloot, Gauteng catering to largely underprivileged learners. Many of the learners walk to school without even necessities such as school shoes.

We purchased and supplied those children with the school shoes they needed.

Phuthaditjaba care of the aged

Phuthaditjaba, is situated in The Free State and provides vital services for the elderly who are vulnerable, frail or bedridden.

It’s about protecting and promoting the interests and well-being of all elderly people. They provide health care services and extra mural activities and assist other organisations by helping to facilitate and provide employment, services and activities for older persons so that they can remain active members of the community.

We have been working with the center for the past five years. Our latest initiative has been to purchase them a TUK TUK to assist in transporting the elderly where needed. We also donate food parcels for their annual Christmas party.

Tswaraganang place of safety

In 2002 Mama Catherine, recognised the need for education in her local Hammanskraal community and took immediate action.

Mama Catherine not only discovered that the majority of the youth in her community were not attending school; she discovered that many of the children had no funds available for education. Also, as a result of AIDS, many of their parents who could no longer take care of their children. Mama Catherine took it upon herself to step in and help where she could. We assist Catherine and her initiative by regularly supplying her with the following:

  • children’s clothes,
  • computer equipment,
  • books for their library,
  • groceries,
  • help with Implementing a sustainable food supply for the center by growing their own fresh produce.
